Joint Jungle Patrols

Joint Jungle Patrol

Supported by International Trust for Nature Conservation

The aim of this project is to assist the Maharashtra State Forest Department in protection of the wildlife and habitat along the periphery of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve and the adjoining forested areas.

Daily foot patrols are done jointly with the field staff of the adjoining territorial forests and data collected shared.

This acts as a deterrent against illegal activities. Regular information of the activities along the periphery is recorded. There is a check on the illegal encroachments.
